Dr. Justina Seyi-Olajide, a pediatric surgeon from Nigeria and JMLF, Beardmore-CommiSur PhD student, made Mercy Ships history on the ship Global Mercy in Sierra Leone as the first female African pediatric surgeon to volunteer with their organization.
