June 30, 2022 : Dr. Patricia Li and CommiSur Lab’s head Dr. Dan Poenaru have been awarded a $25,000 CIHR Planning Grant to explore partnerships and opportunities for the involvement of Indigenous children and families in the Pediatric Inpatient Research Network. This grant underscores their dedication to fostering inclusive research practices and enhancing the representation of Indigenous communities in pediatric health studies.

Dr. Fabio Botelho, a PhD graduate of the CommiSur Lab, recently presented PetitVR to Quebec’s Ministry of Health and the Director of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC). This presentation highlights Dr. Botelho’s innovative contributions to advancing virtual reality applications in healthcare, showcasing the lab’s commitment to pioneering technological solutions in medical science.
