PhD candidate Dunya Moghul’s publication entitled “Overcoming Political Upheaval to Deliver Pediatric Surgical Care in Afghanistan,” has been chosen to receive a McGill MedStar Award in recognition of her excellent research in the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University.

Today is World Pediatric Surgery Day. Being a children's surgeon has been a blessing of a lifetime. There is so much I cherish about what we do. But what I cherish most is the trust we build with our patients and families. That is the foundation upon which all else is built.
