Aylin Erman’s abstract entitled “Machine-learning-assisted Preoperative Prediction of Pediatric Appendicitis Severity,” has been selected as the Second-Place Winner of the MUHC’s Hugh Hallward Award for Publication Communication. Beardmore-CommiSur Lab co-authors include Dan Poenaru, Sherif Emil and Elena Guadagno.

Dr. Sacha Williams, Jean Martin Laberge Global Pediatric Surgery Fellow and PhD candidate with the Beardmore-CommiSur Lab, has been awarded the Surgeon Scientist Program (SSP) Travel Award in recognition of her academic presentation.
